Jonathan focuses his practice on family law, serving clients in the areas of divorce law, child custody & visitation disputes, modifications of existing judgments in the Probate & Family Courts, drafting and negotiating prenuptial agreements, and guardianships & conservatorships. Jonathan has successfully argued cases in the Probate & Family Courts in Middlesex county, Essex county, Suffolk county, Worcester county, Plymouth county, Norfolk county, and Bristol county, as well as in front of the Massachusetts Appeals Court. Jonathan is able to advocate for his clients involved in litigation as well as a collaborative attorney and as a divorce mediator. Attorney Eaton received his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School, where he was granted the Distinguished Oral Advocate Award as well as the Distinguished Brief Award. While attending Law School, Jonathan served as the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Health & Biomedical Law, where his note entitled The Sieve of Groundwater Pollution Protection: A Public Health Law Analysis was published.
Prior to founding Finn & Eaton, P.C., Attorney Eaton was an Associate Attorney at Skylark Law & Mediation, P.C. (formerly Kelsey & Trask, P.C.) in Framingham, and maintains an of counsel relationship with the firm. Jonathan has also worked at the Medical-Legal Partnership | Boston, worked as a Judicial Intern in both Lynn District Court for the Honorable Judge Albert Conlon and Milford District Court for the Honorable Judge Robert Calagione. Prior to attending law school, he worked as a behavior therapist at the RCS Learning Center.
In addition to his work at Finn & Eaton, P.C., Jonathan is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Essex County Bar Association, the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation, the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, Rotary International, the Town of Wilmington Finance Committee, Wilmington Public Library Strategic Planning Committee, and the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce. Attorney Eaton is also a member of Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity, and has been named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers.
